How to Add Agency Access to Google Ads

Grant your agency administrative access to your Google Ads account via an MCC link request.

Why this matters

Without admin access the agency cannot build campaigns, install conversion tracking or optimise bids. Giving email access is insecure and breaks on password changes.

Step-by-step instructions

1

Receive the link request

The agency sends a link from their Manager Account (MCC) using your 10-digit Customer ID.

In the top-right of ads.google.com, click the bell and find "Manager account link request".

Review the requesting manager

Confirm the MCC name matches the agency you expect (e.g. Platinum Prospects).

Access level should be "Admin" so the agency can manage everything.

Confirm the link under Access & Security

Pro tips

  • Never share passwords - always use MCC linking.
  • Keep at least one internal owner on the account at Admin level.
  • Review linked managers quarterly.

Common mistakes

  • Accepting a link from the wrong MCC.
  • Granting only "Standard" access which blocks some settings.
  • Revoking your own access and being locked out.

What happens next

Your agency will confirm the link and begin account audit or build work.
